Work to Lower Taxes
Lowering the tax burden for working families and small businesses will be a top priority for me as your State Representative. We know that reducing tax rates leads to increased consumer spending, savings, and investment. Governor Asa Hutchinson has been a catalyst for these reforms, and I will strongly support him in this effort.
Limiting Government Spending
As a small business owner, I know first-hand how heavy the tax burden is on working families. The first step in reducing that burden is keeping a watchful eye on the state budget. Just as our family has to balance the checkbook every month, I will make sure the State of Arkansas keeps a balanced budget and reduces irresponsible and wasteful spending.
Pro-Economic Growth
Arkansas is experiencing record low unemployment, and we are creating new jobs every day—to the tune of more than 90,000 new jobs in the last five years. In order to keep that momentum going, government must stay out of the way and let small business owners do what they do best – innovate and create new jobs. That is the engine that drives our economy. As your State Representative, I will vote to stop burdensome regulations that hinder job growth and work to repeal the ones that are already on the books.
Pro-Life
As your State Representative, I promise to be a consistent, principled conservative in the legislature. I am 100% pro-life. I want to see Roe v. Wade overturned, and I will support efforts to defund Planned Parenthood. I stand with the majority of Arkansans who advocate for pro-life policies that also give women access to safe, effective, and affordable health care services. The God-given value of every life is the foundation of a free people.
Pro 2nd Amendment
Let me be clear: I will be a staunch defender of our 2 nd Amendment rights. We should enforce our current gun laws, but should never infringe on the sacred right we have in this country which is clearly established in our Constitution. I will fight for those rights as your State Representative.
Education
Teachers and parents have the incredible responsibility of shaping the next generation, and they should be supported at every turn. As your State Representative, I will be a vocal advocate for our educators, our schools, and mostly for our students. We must pursue adequate state-level support to ensure all children are provided the proven resources necessary to succeed, no matter the chosen venue in which they learn.
Workforce
It is estimated that by 2028 there will be 3 million job openings in the skilled trades. Workforce education is critical to training the next generation of workers. We must promote the option of vocational training as an alternative to a 4 year college education. I will work to support the outstanding programs at places such as Pulaski Tech and UALR to ensure those avenues for success are always available.
